MOSAIC + TERRAZZO

Mosaic Terrazzo is my new studio line concept that combines the elegance of classical mosaic with the relaxed charm of Palladiana terrazzo. Inspired by 19th century San Francisco floors made by Italian artisans, Mosaic Terrazzo uses larger, more irregular stone pieces than classical mosaic. Made entirely by hand in Brooklyn, NYC, Mosaic Terrazzo is a timeless, durable surface for floors, walls, showers, pools, backsplashes, and more.

AESTHETIC

Mosaic Terrazzo celebrates imperfection, elevating the beauty of marble to the forefront. The natural stone color and veining combined with the variety of sizes and shapes of the pieces make each inch of the mosaic completely unique.

COLORS

The Mosaic Terrazzo color palette shows off the highest quality marble and natural stone from around the world. Choose from an assortment of sophisticated colorways or opt for custom colors. From whites and neutrals to pops of bright color, there is something for every space.

DESIGNS

Mosaic Terrazzo offers 10 elegant field motifs to choose from ranging from subtle to dramatic to playful, with border options as well. The motifs are loosely speckled compositions as opposed to exact repeating patterns, so each mosaic is truly one of a kind.

Choose from: Alalia, Malocchio, Incertum, Falling, Quadratum, Cocomero, Minerva, Super Terrazzo, Palatina, and Semplice.

AUTHENTIC ARTISAN QUALITY

The process begins with the sourcing and selection of the finest marble, travertine and limestone from around the world. I cut each piece by hand using the same tools as the ancient Romans. Then I hand-place the mosaic like a jigsaw puzzle, where pieces of similar size are fit together to form pathways that flow in all different directions and give the mosaic a sense of fluid motion. The pathways form elaborate patterns that are unique to each work, so your Mosaic Terrazzo is guaranteed to be completely one of a kind.

Mosaic Terrazzo has a smooth, flat surface with a slight texture from the grout lines.
